~ Minimum one year lease.
~ An acceptable, qualifying, current landlord or student housing reference. If you do not have this, we cannot and will not rent to you.
~ Deposits due at lease signing.
~ 1st month’s rent, proof of renter’s insurance, and Duke electric account established in your name due at move-in.
~ Pets: cats considered, provided the cat is spayed/neutered, quiet, and litter box trained/compliant. A $900 additional pet deposit is required, per cat (no more than 2). No dogs or rodent [or rodent-eating] pets permitted at any time.
~ We do not rent our apartments sight unseen because, unlike those in an apartment complex, our studio apartments have been crafted from the original house and each has its own unique features. While each is separate from the other and from the main house, they are part of our home, and we want you to love your apartment, so you must see it personally before you commit to renting it. Please schedule an appointment to see the apartment and fill out or pick up an application. (There is no fee for filling out an application.)
~ As a courtesy to our current tenants, we schedule appointments 24 hours in advance of showing. If you are coming from out of town, please contact us in advance for an appointment.
~ New tenants: One-time-only fee ($90) to have your personal code installed in your apartment security system panel.
